Terms of use
What Typoza offers you, what you undertake to do, and what happens when either of us stops.
Last updated: October 14, 2026 — This date is derived from our list of subprocessors. It changes as soon as that list changes.
This page translates the French original, which is the version that prevails in case of difference.
Purpose
Typoza is an online writing and publishing service. It lets you create a workspace, write posts and pages in it, and publish them on a public site open to all.
Creating an account constitutes acceptance of these terms. Together with the terms of sale for paid plans, they form the entirety of our agreement.
Your account
- An account is personal. You are responsible for what is done with it, and for the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials.
- The email address you declare must be valid: it carries verification, password resets and invitations.
- You may invite other people into a workspace and assign them a role. A workspace's owner answers for what is published there.
- You may close your account at any time from Security, without giving a reason and without notice.
What you publish
Your text, your images and your files remain yours. We acquire no rights over them beyond the strictly technical right to store and display them on your behalf — that is, to do what you use the service for.
You warrant that you hold the rights to what you publish, images included. You remain the publisher of your own site: liability for its content is yours, not ours.
You may at any time leave with your content, in Markdown and JSON, and the address of each of your media files, from your workspace's Data screen. This is available on the free plan, and it is not negotiable: a service that keeps its customers by making it hard to leave is not a service we want to sell.
What is not permitted
- Publishing plainly unlawful content: incitement to hatred, counterfeiting, invasion of privacy, child sexual abuse material.
- Using a workspace for phishing, distributing malware or sending unsolicited messages.
- Attempting to access another workspace's data, or to circumvent the service's technical limits.
- Reselling access to the service under your own brand without written agreement.
A serious breach may lead to a workspace being closed. The decision is made by a person, explained, and notified. No suspension is issued automatically by any process: that is a design rule of the product. The same holds for the nightly comparison of AI use: when a member's counts cross a threshold, it alerts the workspace owner and the member — or, for the owner's own use and during an initial calibration period, only our team —, and nothing else.
A workspace that opens comments answers for what its readers publish there, and Typoza gives it the means to: a filter that holds or refuses before anything appears, the review of what it holds, reports from readers, and the reason sent to each author whose comment is refused or taken down. The workspace examines the reports it receives in good time, and removes plainly unlawful content as soon as it learns of it.
Availability and changes
Typoza is provided as is, with the care expected of a professional, but without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, or an outage at a host or a provider, may make the service temporarily unreachable.
The service evolves. A feature may be added, changed, or withdrawn. The withdrawal of a feature you relied on is announced in advance, together with a way to recover whatever depended on it.
Liability
Our liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damage. It covers neither loss of revenue, nor reputational harm, nor the consequences of content you published.
It is not engaged for the loss of data you had not exported, the export being permanently available and unconditional. We take backups; they exist to bring the service back up, not to restore a text deleted by mistake. Workspace snapshots, on the plans that include them, are the exception: they are restored from the workspace's settings.
Ending the relationship
You may leave whenever you want. We may end an account in the event of a serious breach, or with reasonable notice if we were to discontinue the service — in which case you would have the time needed to export your content.
What becomes of your data on closure is written in stated durations on Privacy.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change. A substantive change is announced in the product changelog before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
