A travel journal that outlasts the feed

For travellers who write, and want to find the trip again years later.

Free to start, no card. You can export your posts at any time, on every plan.

On a social account, people read a trip for two days, then the feed buries it. A year later you cannot find it yourself, and the photos sit in a grid with no captions.

You reread a travel journal years after the trip, and strangers planning the same route find it through a search engine. Both need it at an address you control.

What you need

  • No algorithm between you and your readers

Your journal lives on a typoza.com subdomain from the start, or on your own domain with a paid plan. The people who follow you get each post, and a trip you wrote up three years ago keeps the same link.

  • Photos inside the story

You get an image block with a caption and alt text, full width when a photo deserves it, and galleries of up to four. Typoza re-encodes each photo when you upload it, and the page loads it only as the reader scrolls down to it.

  • Keep writing when the signal drops

If the network drops while you write, the editor keeps your text on the device and sends it once you are back online. You choose which version to keep if the post changed elsewhere in the meantime.

  • Read by people planning the same route

Search engines get a sitemap, structured data and a share image for every post, with nothing for you to set up. A post about a route can keep bringing readers long after you came home.

  • The next trip, by email

Readers who liked one trip can subscribe from your site and get the next by email, at the pace they picked. The list is yours to export.

  • An export of the whole journal

The export holds the whole journal as Markdown and JSON, with a link to each photo. The photo files themselves stay out of the archive.

What Typoza does not do

Better to read it here than to find out after three posts. If one of these is a dealbreaker for you, do not sign up.

  • Offline, you can only keep typing in a post that is already open. Opening another one, or adding a photo, needs a connection.
  • It is not a photo portfolio: no lightbox, no slideshow, no RAW files, and Typoza strips the camera data from every upload. If the pictures are the work, a portfolio tool will serve you better.
  • Typoza refuses very large files and resizes photos for the web, so keep your full-resolution originals somewhere else.
  • Each plan caps storage: 500 MB on the free plan, 5 GB on Collective, 25 GB on Studio, and every photo counts.
  • No map block, no itinerary and no GPS trace.
  • No affiliate tools. A link you write stays a plain link, with no click tracking and no booking widget.

The post you keep putting off

Write its first paragraph today. The post stays a draft until you publish it, and no reader sees it before then.
